90-Day
Operating Plan
The post-launch rhythm that turns the build into visibility.
Keep three workstreams moving in parallel every week: publish your content, earn off-site mentions, accumulate reviews. Results compound at 8 to 12 weeks; your week-12 scan is the before-and-after proof.
The Rhythm, Not the Build
For the next 90 days, keep three things moving in parallel every week: publish your priority content, earn off-site mentions, accumulate reviews. None of them work alone. I have sequenced them so your final scan at week 12 shows a real before-and-after, not a flat line.
The build we just delivered (schema, entity, content briefs, review system) is a starting line, not a finish. AI-citation results land at 8 to 12 weeks, so this is the weekly rhythm I'd run to turn those assets into actual visibility. It assumes we have wrapped the 14-day build and locked your baseline scan.
The Three Workstreams
Each workstream runs against its own playbook. They move together, week over week, for the full 90 days.
- ContentSee your Content & Editorial Strategy. Two anchored pieces per week, spearheads first.
- Off-siteSee your Off-site Outreach & Backlink Strategy. Weekly listicle pitches, disclosed Reddit answers, creator gifting, digital PR.
- ReviewsSee your Review Outreach Playbook. The seeding blast, then the always-on post-delivery flow toward the ~38 floor and ~80 target.
Month 1 · Foundation Live
Ship your spearheads, get the first pitches out, and complete the seeding blast. The foundation goes live and starts indexing.
- Content. Publish the spearhead pillar first: the Oura smart-ring-jacket category pillar (Brief A). Brief B, the meteorite piece, is cancelled and is not replaced in month 1. Then the Oura accuracy piece (Brief C) and the silver-tarnish evergreen (Brief D). If you green-light the gemstone test, its first article slots in here too.
- Off-site. Send your first wave of listicle pitches to the named jacket targets. Start showing up honestly in r/ouraring and r/smartrings. r/meteorite is dropped, along with the meteorite pitch targets. Line up creator gifting.
- Reviews. Audit first. Map what Judge.me and Klaviyo already send and reduce them to one ask, then run the seeding blast to your past customers, jacket buyers first. The blast lands on top of a live automation otherwise.
Foundation content indexed, first pitches out, seeding blast complete.
Month 2 · Depth and Momentum
Add cluster depth under your spearheads, work the month-1 pitches, cross the ~38-review floor, and I'll run the first interim scan at week 6.
- Content. Go deeper under the jacket spearhead, the long-tail questions (fit-by-generation, sizing, care), two per week. Plus the recycled 925 evergreen pieces.
- Off-site. Follow up on the month-1 pitches, expand into the alternative and men's silver roundups, send gifted product to reviewers, answer expert-source queries.
- Reviews. Keep the merged flow running, reply to every review within 48 hours in your own voice, and aim to cross the ~38-review floor by week 6.
You told us Cool Hunting will publish a piece on the smart ring jackets. Treat it as the anchor event of month 2, because it is the first genuine third-party editorial citation and several workstreams have been waiting on exactly that.
Three things it unlocks, in order:
1. Amplification. The week it lands, link it from the jackets hub, reference it in outreach pitches as proof the category is being covered, and share it in the communities where jackets already come up. A citation nobody points at gets read by fewer crawlers.
2. Entity timing. This is the independent source the Wikidata item has been held for. Once the article is live and stable, the brand item becomes submittable, referencing Cool Hunting rather than your own site. Give it a few weeks to settle before submitting.
3. Citation use. It becomes the credibility line in every subsequent pitch: an editor is far more likely to include a brand another editor has already covered. Use it in the listicle pitches from the week it publishes.
Ask us for the exact URL as soon as it goes live, so the week-6 and week-12 scans can watch whether the models start reaching for it.
I'll run a light scan against your baseline so we can see early movement and put effort behind whatever is working.
Month 3 · Push and Prove
Fill the remaining priority pieces, run the digital-PR push, drive reviews to the ~80 band, then I'll run the final scan against baseline. This is your proof.
- Content. Fill the remaining priority pieces and refresh the two pillars with anything we have learned (new questions, sharper answers).
- Off-site. The digital-PR push, publish the definitive comparison and distribute a press release (the same tactic Buffr used, done honestly), and chase the highest-value roundup placements.
- Reviews. Drive toward ~80 reviews with responses, the band where a profile starts getting cited for reputation queries.
This is your before-and-after proof: citation share per pocket, mentions landed, reviews live.
The Repeatable Week
Plan Monday, publish midweek, pitch Thursday, top up reviews Friday, and keep Reddit warm all week. Consistency across the 90 days is the whole game.
| # | Day | Focus |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Mon | Plan. Pick the week's two pieces and your pitch list; check the trackers. |
| 02 | Tue to Wed | Publish. Ship the two content pieces, answer-first and schema-wrapped. |
| 03 | Thu | Outreach. 3 to 5 listicle or creator pitches, 1 expert-source response. |
| 04 | Fri | Reviews. Top up invites, reply to every new review, log the tracker. |
| 05 | Ongoing | Reddit. 2 to 3 disclosed, genuinely helpful answers across the week. |
What to Measure, and When
Track the weekly outputs continuously; read direction at week 6 and magnitude at week 12. Your week-12 scan is the proof.
| # | Cadence | What is measured |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Weekly | Pieces published, pitches sent, mentions landed, invites sent, new reviews, reviews replied to. |
| 02 | Week 6 Interim scan |
Early citation movement per pocket. Direction, not magnitude. |
| 03 | Week 12 Final scan |
Citation share vs baseline across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini; total landed mentions; review count and stars. This is your proof. |
What to Expect
Your sharp pockets move first. Head terms move slowly. Reviews and mentions compound, so most of the visible lift shows in weeks 8 to 12, not week 2.
- The sharp pocket moves first. The jackets should move first and clearest. That pocket is winnable and under-contested, and it is where you already appear 35% of the time unprompted.
- Head terms move slowly. Head terms and the broad alt-silver pocket move slowly, and that is expected. It is why I have weighted the effort to the narrow arenas.
- Lift compounds late. Reviews and off-site mentions compound. Most of the visible lift shows in weeks 8 to 12, not week 2. Consistency across the 90 days is the whole game.
Owners
You asked for both options quoted: Node AI running the 90 days full-service, or handover with these playbooks as your operating manual. Both are now priced, in Three Ways Forward on the hub. The handover option is what you already own outright and costs nothing further.
Two things stay in your own voice from day one under either option: the review replies and the Reddit comments. You have committed to those weekly, which is the right call, because that is exactly where being a real small studio beats a faceless brand and it is the one part an agency cannot convincingly do for you.
